Dit project will not be finished in 1 day.
Your plate will be filled for a couple of days!
First we start with the design drawing.
Tuscan Carnival 01
I start with making the figure which will be placed on the bottom.
You can make any figure made by yourself, I use a decoration piece from the cold enamel assortment to make a figure.
For the Tuscany Carnival project I take a masked figure from this assortment.

Apply a little bit olive oil inside the figure.
Wipe the inside with a paper towel.
In this way there is enough olive oil inside to prevent the silver clay sticking to the mall when it is dried.
Tuscan Carnival 02
Fill now the inside with silver clay.
I use the enamel spate here.
When the silver clay is dried I can remove it easily from this tool to use the silver clay again.
Press the silver clay firmly to prevent air bubbles.
To not fill the mall in the middle with silver clay to the rim.
Let there be a hole in the middle.
However, there must be enough to have a thick layer of silver clay.
Er moet wel een dikke laag zilverklei in zitten.
Tuscan Carnival 03
Here you see that the mask is filled with silver clay.
The silver clay is reaching the rim of the mask and in the middle there is a hole.
Keep in mind that the silver clay will shrink 10% after baking.
Let the silver clay dry.
Tuscan Carnival 04
If the silver clay is dried completely then it will come out the mask easily.
Check if you see uneven spots, holes or other thing you do not like.
You can fill a hole with some wet silver clay.
Use a wet brush to make wrinkles even.
As long as the clay is not baked you can make modification very easy.
