Broche for Mother's day

Hi Ton

You have done a wonderful donation for the schools were I did a workshop enameling for mother’s day.
It was busy here on this side and I was waiting for the stories I had to get from the schools.
Of course many thanks for your donation!
We could not manage to get such a nice day without it.

The fishes were not so easy to enamel the thin tails were bending while enameling only on one side.
However It ended all ok.
I have heard from many mothers that this was a terrific present and so much different than the usual paper work children make at school…

Great!!!

Enamel Japanese Temple

Bill Scobie from Ireland submitted this art piece.
Thanks Bill for sharing your "Japanese Temple" to us.

This Japanese Temple is 68 cm high, 50 cm wide, and 17 cm deep.
It is mainly made of  wood called "spalted beech", and decorated with metals such as bronze, copper, stainless steel and brass.
On the front, as well as metal, there are panels of veneer, marquetry and enamel, and the eye formed from copper and also enamelled.
