I began with a step-by-step plan to choose techniques, shapes, and colours. After preparing the copper, sanding, cleaning, and counter-enamelling. I powdered the background colours and shaped cloisonné wire into delicate leaves.
After sanding and degreasing the wire, I fired everything together with the background colours. I also powdered the hedgehog in brown and repeated the firing. Then I glued the hedgehog onto the enamelled plate and added a black grain for its eye.
Using the wet enamel technique, I filled the leaves with three colours: red, light green, and dark green. In the final step, I filled in missed spots and created a twinkling sky using a mix of tiny grains.
The result? A sweet little pendant to welcome the upcoming season. 🍂
