To enamel you must have the following basic materials and tools:

  • Kiln (EFCO 110 displayed).

  • Tempratureregulator (Option). 

  • Spatula (to get the piece safely into the kiln). 

  • Burn free work area (Here I use the backside of some bathroom tiles.). 

  • Sifter. 

  • Tweezers. 

  • Hook (To stir in the hot enamel while burning in the kiln). 

  • Wipe-out sticks.

  • Sanding block. 

  • Firing rack to place the piece on to in the burning chamber. 

  • Counter enamel firing rack.

  • Enamel powders.

  • Copper to enamel (0,8- 1mm thick).

  • Glue(Not really necessary for flat pieces).

  • Corborundum stone (Sanding stone).
